Applying for Work

 

Job postings are ONLY available to members of Local 1208

There are currently two ways to apply for work:  

  1. Call the job line at 1-866-358-7445

    • Press #2

  2. Under the "Job Line" tab on this site read the positions available and fill out the online form selecting what position(s) you would like to apply for.

 

Jobs will be posted on the website and the job line at 4:30 pm Newfoundland Standard Time or 4:00 pm Atlantic Standard Time on a daily basis including weekends and holidays. The job line is cleared 8:00 am Newfoundland Standard Time or 7:30 am Atlantic Standard Time the following morning. Therefore there will be no positions on the line or website throughout the day.

 

Positions will be awarded to members who are lowest on the out of work list (closest to number 1) and have the required training and qualifications for the particular job.

It is the responsibility of each and every member once he/she is laid off to report it by doing one of the following:
